About the Book
Debra Colby-Conklin is the author of the column Mom’s Eye View a weekly column that appeared in several community-oriented newspapers in Maine, from 2007-2010.

Taken from personal experiences, the articles in this book will cause many readers to nod their heads and say, “Aha, I’ve been there.”

Like a gossipy neighbor (although you hate yourself for it…you just can’t stop listening) Deb’s column focused on everyday bits and pieces of life: the Fun! Fun! Fun! of your child’s summer vacation, the melodic musings of country music, the frightening world of monsters that lurk in the closets or under the beds and the tawdry plights of a belly dancer wannabe. All this and more has now been condensed into one unforgettable book.

With a talent for “keeping it real” Mom’s Eye View helps readers see the humor in the mundane, as well as the beauty in the obvious.
