About the Book
|
Jack and Russell LUCKY FIND is about a boy and his best friend who happens to be a dog. They share a lot of adventures together, adventures they don’t always go looking for. What lucky finds for them!
Russell is a 12-year-old boy who attends 7th grade at Central Middle School in Muscatine, Iowa. Jack is a Golden Retriever that loves to play Frisbee, something he and Russell do almost daily.
After school, Russell usually helps out at the toy store downtown, owned and operated by Gus and Gussie Gustoff. Gus and Russell's grandfather were best friends. The Gustoffs have known Russell all his life and treat him as their grandson.
The story of Jack and Russell LUCKY FIND is a fictitious story that takes place in the real setting of the Mississippi River city of Muscatine and surrounding areas.
The adventures that Jack and Russell share offer life lessons in dealing with bullies, the importance of self-esteem and the value of friends. It is the first in a series of Jack and Russell's adventures.
