Riveting...Wynne is in top form. The Original Wife deserves to be read, urgently and thoroughly. Lanie Spenser's bravery, humility, and ultimately even her flaws serve to elevate an enthralling, dark tale into an unputdownable and meaningful contribution to the genre. Magnificent, dark, and totally unmissable. Wynne nails it again. The Original Wife is engaging, clever, and precisely captures the long-term abuse on a woman warrior without being heavy or clinical. It has courage, authenticity, and a beautiful voice. The twist that thickens the plot came to brilliant resolve. I couldn't put the book down. The Original Wife is a beautifully written story of love, loss, and triumph over adversity. Wynne wrings every drop of empathy from your soul during Lanie's quest for acceptance and self-forgiveness.
