About the Book
|
CIA engineer Arthur Monroe fights the Cold War by spending his days building miniature microphones.
He fights loneliness by spending his nights planting microphones in his neighbors’ apartments.
And that’s just how he likes it.
Unfortunately, Monroe’s life out of the spotlight is upended when he’s summoned to participate in “Project Acoustic Kitty,” a highly secretive initiative that turns out to be more bizarre than he ever imagined. Even worse, the project is taking place halfway across the country, in the middle of nowhere.
Naturally, it isn’t long before Monroe begins spying on his new teammates, each of whom is more dysfunctional than the last. As Arthur soon learns, “Project Acoustic Kitty” isn’t everything it appears to be...and neither are any of the people working on it.
