These women suffer more than one might want to see, and yet they are stronger and more resilient than the reader might expect. Troch’s first novel is an engaging read, rich and accurate in historical and cultural details. I’ve always enjoyed reading books that touch me, teach me, and give me insights into human nature. Bloodlines accomplishes this. I am eager to read the next in Troch’s series.
