Lauren Strickland was born in 1979 and is a native of Chicago, Illinois. She is a special education teacher in Wheaton/Warrenville Illinois. She is the mother of two daughters; Paris and London, one of which was diagnosed with stage 3 neuroblastoma-a rare and deadly form of childhood cancer at only nine days old. In the year ahead Mrs. Strickland looks forward to working with cancer foundations that work specifically to develop research and finding a cure. The challenges have been a constant reminder that God is in control. |
