The book is a story of a young man and his love of flying. It tells of some of the problems he experienced on his road to making his dream become a reality.
He obtained his dream and became a Night Fighter Pilot. He was chosen as an Instructor in the Night Fighter Program.
He flew a combat tour in the Pacific flying P61s and, after the war ended, he was in the army occupation of Japan.

Raymond Daniel served his country for 26 years. He enlisted in The Army Air Corps in January, 1941. He was trained as an airplane mechanic. After December, 1941, he was accepted as an Aviation Cadet, completing the program on 20 May, 1943, and was given his
wings, and commissioned as a 2nd Lt. Raymond was trained as a
Night Fighter Pilot, and flew P61s in the Pacific. |
