The Fallen Leaf Anthology 2011 is a collection of submissions from seventeen authors and artists, and includes artwork, short stories, poems, essays, and book excerpts. It is the third volume in a series of anthologies created by a group of authors to share and disseminate their works. It was born of the "Write Retreat," a workshop for writers to hone their craft under the expert guidance of a faculty of Stanford professors and writing fellows at the Stanford Sierra Camp at Fallen Leaf Lake. The works, authored predominantly by Stanford Alum, represent a diversity of styles and offer a spectrum of thoughts about the world we share and the issues at the forefront of our daily struggles.

Jerry Thrush, MD, editor, is a graduate of Stanford School of Medicine and board certified in emergency medicine. He practices at a trauma center in San Diego. In his spare time, he enjoys sailing, various water sports, and playing the violin on his roof deck. |
