A collection of stories - some true, some fiction - by a man raised in a small Midwestern town in a day when the topic of guns did not instantly divide people into opposing camps, when people respected guns in part because guns had recently helped our country defeat her enemies in World War II. These stories are meant to entertain and shed light on a simpler way of life that seems to be disappearing.

Mathew Paust was born and raised in a small town in Wisconsin. He is a former award-winning newspaper reporter who lives with his family in a wooded community in Virginia's Hampton Roads. Paust is also the author of Executive Pink, a satirical novel about presidential politics. |
