When Spiker, Kitty Cat and Mac find themselves all living with Gabe, the man on the mountain, they must learn to be friends. Spiker, an old dog set in his ways, arrives first. Kitty Cat, a yellow and white cat, just needs to find a new home and he wants Spiker to like him. But they both have a real problem when Mac arrives! Mac is a big, playful and rambunctious dog. He wants these three different friends to be best friends. Mac loves his new home up on the mountain. He can run and play and swim in the cool waters of the creek. There are no fenced-in yards and he does not have to be on a leash. How come he never knew about such a wonderful place? Danger arises one cold, icy night. Mac is aware of the peril, but needs to get the attention of Gabe, the man on the mountain, for his help. How will he do it? He needs to act fast. The night sky is heavy with large flakes of falling snow and the ground is treacherously icy. Mac will not give up. He must help!
