About the Book
Your Cross Is Your Gift is a theological reflection in the context of a memoir. Through a series of short stories, the reader is initially presented with the author’s paralyzing injury on a college football field and then masterfully led through a spiritual journey that encompasses a life full of gratitude and grace. The work ties together perspectives on Scripture and tradition in a down-to-earth style that embraces the human experience that connects us all.

Your Cross Is Your Gift is a celebration of life. It presents lessons through participation in sports, adversity in paralysis, and trials in an amazing love story. This concise work offers hope, humor, faith, and victory. It is a must read for anyone experiencing challenges in life and seeking to find positive solutions.

The book contains snapshots from the author's life and transforms them into modern day parables expressing insights into the ministry of Jesus, Sacramental theology, and Biblical themes.

The brilliance of Your Cross Is Your Gift is its simplicity. Just as an effective homily or sermon at church is able to express an important message by allowing the listener to come to terms with the truth according to his or her own understanding, this tiny gem succeeds in following that pattern. The narratives are true stories, but Frank Bice’s intention is to give the reader an opportunity to reflect upon the situations and themes that are presented and to incorporate them into his or her personal life experience.

Your Cross Is Your Gift is uplifting, encouraging, humorous, and inspiring. Enjoy a refreshing work that is about faith, love, and redemption. By the conclusion of the book, the readers will be reflecting upon their own life experience through the lens of gratitude and looking for opportunities to make service joyful.
