Lights, Camera, Action! is a "how to" book for all actors trying to break into the movie industry from a casting directors point of view. This type of book is essential for all upcoming actors, learning the do’s and don’ts of the trade. There are many ‘how to’ acting books in the book stores at the moment, however, there are none from a casting director’s point of view. One might consider it an: Extra Work for Dummies book. Anna Maniscalco-Blasi began her film industry career as an aspiring actor in New York City, where she worked for years. After countless auditions, she changed her career path from hopeful actor to casting director. She was responsible for casting background actors in many feature films and television shows, including five seasons on the Emmy Award–winning HBO drama series The Sopranos. She is a happily married mother of two children and lives on Long Island, where she is currently working on a children’s book. |
