About the Book
|
How To Manage Personal Finances presents a simple, practical, guideline for establishing, maintaining, or improving your money handling methods. It’s never too late to get your finances under control. By better managing what you have you can reduce money related frustrations and enjoy life more.
The purpose of this book is to help ordinary people create a framework for smart money management and take a major step towards a happier lifestyle. It describes a proven method to control your resources and deal with reality. It applies whether you are single, married, or a couple.
Our method to “work the plan” is simple to understand and easy to work with. There is logic and a strategy to paying the bills, and dealing with reality. It will verify that your resources can (or cannot) get you from one paycheck to the next. It will consistently help you find out when, or if, you have a dilemma (ahead of time) so you can decide how to deal with it.
This is NOT a budgeting, investing, or accounting text, which, for some people, can get dry and boring. We describe how we handle our finances in 1 or 2 hours a month. By keeping it short and sweet we have more time for fun!
The book has many helpful references and hyperlinks that can be used to get in depth, expert explanations where we thought it might be useful, or necessary. It will help provide additional awareness about measuring your financial health as well as other things to consider when looking at money related, alternatives. With an open mind and a desire to improve, it can also enhance your Financial Literacy.
The book also explains why we do what we do to arrive at our method but, if desired, you can skip the background “music” and go directly to the “work the plan” section to hit the ground running.
We are hopeful that it will help you enjoy a “smoother ride”.
