The Partner Power Weight Loss Program is based on
four principles. The first two are eating right and exercising.
The last two are having a support system and someone to keep you
accountable.
Eating Right: Eating right does not mean dieting. It means slowly
modifying your current eating habits to healthier ones.
Exercise: We cannot emphasize the benefits of both cardiovascular
exercise and strength training enough. Use a Heart Rate Monitor.
Start Slowly. Break Up Exercise Into Chunks.
Support System: In order to have long-term success you must have
a support system in place. This could be a spouse, a child, or a
friend. Someone who is going to make sure you stay on track when
you slip.
Accountability: You have to work towards a stated goal. Remember,
a goal that is not set is a goal that is not met. Putting things
in writing where you can see them will keep you focused and on track.
We decided to publish You Can't Lose Weight Alone
to provide everyone with information about and access to Partner
Power. You Can't Lose Weight Alone gives them the
tools necessary to create their own personal trainer
experience.
In addition to instructions for setting up your support system,
the book includes sample food journals, exercise journals and contracts.

Dr. Adam Shafran and Lee Kantor own Neighborhood Fitness, a personal training studio in Alpharetta, Georgia. Shafran is a Chiropractor and former strength and conditioning coach for college sports teams as well as fitness trainer for professional athletes. Kantor has owned sports and fitness training companies for almost 15 years. |
