About the Book
Caught Dead & Other Catastrophes is the latest outing for writer TG Browning. These essays take an affectionate, humorous look at Browning's childhood home on the Oregon coast, before segueing into the work-a-day world, dangerous vacations, and peculiar people that life dishes up.

Follow the education of our hapless narrator as he deals with the in-your-face attitude that life presents. Along the way you'll meet the memorable people of Toledo who have endless advice to share, requested or not, it makes no difference.

In Caught Dead learn how words can sometimes bite back, resulting in a drastic move. In "Feeding Frenzy" learn just how much good looking & cute really count! In "Wood Working", learn about God-given talents and the measurement of wood. Learn proper (and safe) etiquette for dealing with space aliens in "Stumps From Space", an Internet classic. Browning even covers one's options when dealing with murderous luggage and how to attract HELP on the interstate.

The humor is non-biting and reminiscent of Thurber and Jean Shepherd. Browning's style will take readers back to a less aggressive form of humor. With his unique take on the world, the reader will relive some of their own, personal catastrophes.

Caught Dead & Other Catastrophes also contains original artwork by the talented Mata, one of the World Wide Web's most original and wittiest animators.

Caught Dead is essential for reader who prefer to laugh over the oddities of life, rather than be defeated by them. Browning demonstrates that these oddities are what shape us as individuals and make us all human and invites the reader to contemplate their own catastrophes.
