About the Book
Wilkes- Barre, PA is not the most well-known city in the US as that happens to be New York. Wilkes-Barre is more like Bedford Falls or Mayberry than New York. It is certainly a great place to lead a wonderful life.

As you will soon learn, besides being a nice city for humans, for several short years now, it has been the hometown of Fiona the Calico Cat. Wilkes-Barre is the setting for this light-hearted true story of a beautiful calico momma cat. This cat had what humans might call a beautiful complexion. Moreover she had a burning desire to have a nice little family with a seldom visiting cat husband. In this way, she did not have to worry about having to get the visitor fed when the kittens came.

Almost, if not every word of this story is true, and it really did happen in Wilkes-Barre, PA., a real city. Jeanne & Joe Linsky simply had never conceived of life without a few dogs to keep them company. Cats? Nah! When Fiona the Calico Cat started showing up all the time, things quickly changed. After she was adopted and the kittens came, Fiona left home and could not be found. This is the happy story surrounding her return.
