About the Book
|
Seasons of the Soul contains poems in two sections. The first section contains poetry regarding nature and the seasons in various styles. Each poem is full of imagery to awaken the reader to think mindfully about the seasons and appreciate their uniqueness through the senses.
The second section describes the poet’s perspective of the world. Most artists see the world in a different way. These poems express with mindfulness how people can fall into unconscious habits taught by social mores that are never questioned.
Through poetry from the Seasons of the Soul, the author hopes to impart to the reader that critical thinking can increase awareness that our daily lives can be richer if we look closely into our own hearts.

About the Author |
 |
Heather is a late bloomer. As a retired music therapist, writing was only a hobby. But since 2018 when she joined The Writers Guild of Delco, writing has become her primary passion. In addition to her first novel, Invisible Thread, published in 2021, she now adds a collection of short stories written from six years. Heather lives with her husband of 57 years and has three children, and five grandchildren. She lives in Wallingford, PA. When not writing, Heather is a voracious reader, and is a member of two writer’s groups and a poetry group. She swims at least three times a week and is adding yoga to her exercise routine. |
