About the Book
|
From his kennel in the woodlands of north Florida, a young pup ponders what it means when the older dogs get put into trucks and are driven to the woods. There must be something really important going on and Little-Dog feels he just has to know what it is. His curiosity leads him to stowaway in a truck and after being threatened by a vicious bully of a dog, he escapes into the deep woods where he meets a friendly armadillo, encounters a snarling Florida panther, gets help from a friendly blue-jay and finally finds his way home. But when his friend Old Duke is attacked by the bully dog, Little-Dog's courage rises up within him and he fights the bully to save his friend.
