About the Book
|
After an extended
backcountry camping trip in the Washington State wilderness, two
climbers emerge from the woods onto the icy slopes of Mt. Rainier
in hopes of conquering it's 14,411 foot summit. With a GPS
system showing nothing but clear skies for three days, they go for
it, pushing their way through the snow to Camp Muir, high above
the clouds below. When they arrive, they find the camp strangely
abandoned and the ranger's shack locked tight. A disturbing
sign.
As a distant storm approaches and engulfs the camp, the two men
are thrown into a wind-blown nightmare that will change their lives
forever. As the gale carries on for days, then weeks, the truth
about the storm, a deadly virus and what really roams the cloudy
void will come together with a startling reality that will bring
into question the very origin and purpose of mankind.
The antidote is just the beginning.
