Nan's book gives you the knowledge, courage, and humor to face western gardening challenges and make gardening fun again. Each month has a task list and a place for notes on what worked and what didn't. This book is well thought out, and beautifully written and illustrated. Nan wrote this book for gardeners like me! The task lists for each month will keep me organized and ready to plant on time instead of too late and left wondering why I didn’t have a good harvest. I'll be referring to this book for years to come! As a transplant from the Pacific Northwest to the high desert, I can only lament... Where were you and this book when I got here? It would have answered all my gardening questions and not in complicated PhD language. The information is easily understood and easy to implement.
