About the Book
A collection of short fiction by Donald Huffman Graff, featuring seven science fiction and fantasy stories.

"The Dream Regime," in which an experiment that failed succeeds beyond anyone's wildest dreams.

"The House on Cucullu Street," a Cthulhu Mythos spoof that could even be labeled a boof.

"Chateau Renouveau," a contemporary fantasy about life, love, ennui, and renewal.

"The American B.E.M." tells the story of a penniless immigrant from outer space who achieved the American Dream, only to find it all on the line in a savage, no-holes-barred game of golf.

"Flaying Star," a tale of romantic illusions, action, and conflict, in which the main character, Kenelm, learns that coming to know his enemy and to know himself may also lead to knowledge that he never would have wished for.

"The Crypt of the Soldonieris," a tale of betrayal, magic, and action set in the Italy of Machiavelli and the Medicis.

"TimeSift." Alien minds want to know, and our minds are sifted and gleaned from the sands of time.

The book concludes with the found-object collage/poem "Three Fortunes," a rare relic from the mid-90's 'zine heyday.
