About the Book
Frank Olsen, a former governmental "snitch", must now do all he can to rescue his kidnapped son, Robert, from the clutches of a ruthless Colombian drug cartel, and fight to protect he and his wife from a sadistic madman set out to kill them. He needs to accomplish all this before Granite Lake's Amish residents stage an uprising to have them expelled from Granite Lake's Amish community where they had been placed into Witness Protection. When all of Frank's former governmental contacts refused to help him, Frank realizes that he is now completely alone and on his own. Faced with such adversity, Frank is forced to dig down deep to find some inner strength to persevere- to survive!

Frank Olsen never thought that revenge would endanger his entire family. He never thought that they would be embroiled in a fight for their lives. He never thought that his decisions might ultimately cost his wife her happiness and all that she held most dear! He just never thought that things could ever change so much.

Circle of Friends: Murder in an Amish Field is an examination of innate prejudices to expose universal truths about true friendships, Christian faith, and love.

About the Author
Arthur W McNamee is a freelance writer, poet, and former undercover investigator who spent several weeks living within an Amish community in Shipshewana, Indiana in late 2011. He found their generosity , work ethic, local customs, and Puritanical ideals quite refreshing and in stark contrast today's cynical, controlling, and oppressive cultural environment.

"The Amish are a living snapshot of a much simpler past. They are the embodiment of a time when family and Christian values were the primary focal point of daily life. They were then, as they are now, the most fascinating and enigmatic people on the Earth!"

In his first novel, Circle of Friends: Murder in an Amish Field, the author entices the reader to take a journey with him to experience this unique culture firsthand. Set within a very suspenseful tale, painted with a fine brush and interwoven with purposeful introspection , the author invites the reader, in a most subliminal way, to ponder on what is utmost important in life and to oneself.
