Richard Diamond is on vacation in Cancun Mexico, the beaches are white sand and the water is azure blue. Warm days and cool nights, life is great. Then Richard receives a distress call on his home phone back in Virginia. He is soon whisked away from Mexico and sent deep into the newly emerging conflict in the Ukraine. Two British spies have been captured and one of them has sent Richard a distress call. This plunges Richard into the bribery and corruption of the Secretary of State, Harriet Clifton and the sale of the United States support for its allies. Richard and the CIA are soon tracking down the evidence needed to show the collusion between the sitting president, Barry O’Brien and his Secretary of State, Harriet Clifton; with the Russians and other corrupt characters within the government.
Richard CIA is the second in a series of spy novels that follow our reluctant hero from his time in the Marine Coupe in Richard Diamond USMC. The characters portrayed are based partly on personal experience and associations with the characters portrayed. Edward F. Koehler PhD, is retired from government service and private employment. He lives with his wife at the beach on the eastern shore of Maryland. While on assignment in 1993, Dr. Koehler lived on a sailboat in San Francisco harbor for a year, sailing nights and weekends in San Francisco Bay. Today, his hobbies include sailing, snorkeling, skiing, and tennis. Dr. Koehler and his wife travel frequently throughout the United States, Mexico, and the Caribbean islands. |
