If you were a fan of Raffi, particularly his song “Down by the Bay,” then you will love this book.
Author Lisa Baker, and illustrator Joy Baik, have teamed up to create a classic story where whimsical illustrations bring the reader through delightful rhyming scenes of animals playing musical instruments.
Children of all ages will appreciate In All of Your Days Have you Seen the Ways an Animal Plays an Instrument for the vivid colors and funny juxtapositions of creatures making music while being in, or close to, their natural habitat. This is the perfect book to help introduce kids to unique musical instruments, and perhaps even some interesting animals. After all, when was the last time “while making risotto, did you ever see a buffalo, sipping espresso while playing the zufolo?” A bonus feature is the glossary in the back, and if you are like us, it will help kick-start your own animal/musical adventures as you learn about
the animals in the book!
This is a truly joyous read—the kind of book that after reading sticks in the mind’s-eye of parents and children for a lifetime.
