About the Book
This book is intended to be an extra tool for singers and teachers of voice. The living instrument that produces the sound is totally out of sight and cannot be heard accurately by the very singer who is performing the song. The ideas and instructions presented here are not meant to replace other methods of teaching voice but are intended, instead, to be an added help.

Most people respond readily to graphic images. This book seeks to employ graphic images to aid in learning a difficult art with a difficult instrument. Long before this book was written, the pictures and ideas contained here were already "tested" on hundreds of my own students with great success. My students are the reason this book has finally been written...in the hopes that these ideas may help other singers and teachers.

Reviews
Marianna Busching has more than proven herself to be a terrific mezzo-soprano with a tremendous performing career. This book can't begin to tell of her astounding teaching style.
- Phyllis Bryn-Julson, Soprano, Former Chairman, Vocal Faculty, Peabody Conservatory
My first teacher Marianna Busching launched me from her Maryland studio into a career at the Metropolitan Opera. Her creative teaching style and her great imagery were invaluable.
- Richard Troxell, Metropolitan Opera Tenor
Reading this book is akin to attending a master class that challenges singers to approach both technique and artistry in different ways. Voice teachers and their students will appreciate the imaginative, yet practical advice.
- Debra Greschner, The National Association of Teachers of Singing Journal of Voice
