About the Book
Smart people make dumb decisions, and good people are capable of doing very bad things. These are the awkward truths which face Simon as he navigates his way through unfamiliar circumstances and fractured relationships, with a raft of characters who are as fundamentally flawed as he himself is. Compromises will be made and rationalizations abound, as this crazed transition from the mundane of the everyday to a substance fueled, surrealistic existence evolves. Who will survive; who will prosper; and who will be the casualties in the bizarre world he creates for himself, as he aspires to be one person, and ends up being somebody completely unrecognizable to both himself, and those around him. Only time will tell...

About the Author
Stephen Maxwell At the age of 50, this is Stephen Maxwell's first novel. Like many Australians, he is a self-prescribed journeyman, having traveled extensively throughout the world, immersing himself in a diverse range of careers; from being a nightclub manager in London, a transport company owner in Bunbury, to a bar and restaurant owner in Phuket. These days, he shares his time between living and writing in the jungles of southern Thailand, and working occasionally in Australia, to support this dream.
