This is the recent 25-year history of the First Presbyterian Church of Greer, S.C., since the church's Sesquicentennial Celebration held in 1990. This book contains a roster of all members who were on the church rolls at any time during this quarter century, 1991-2016,a list of all officers that served during this time, and an index of all individuals mentioned in the book. The book features a year-by-year description of important events that took place in the life of the congregation over this period of time under the leadership of three ministers. The information includes such major projects as the construction of a new social hall and a columbarium, acquisition of the old Davenport Library to serve as Kirk Hall, and a total renovation of the existing church facility.

Jenny Munro is a lifelong journalist who recently retired after working as a local news reporter for a number of years for The Greenville News, a daily newspaper in Greenville, S.C. As a member of the Greer First Presbyterian Church, she gathered information from numerous sources and used that research to write a year-by-year history of the church from 1991-2016. |
