Jesus' List puts religion in its proper place (sidelines), and elevates Spirituality as the core of human fulfillment. The world of Spirit is vast by comparison to the cognitive world. God the Father, God the Son/Savior (and judge), and God the Holy Spirit comprise the best guidance "team" for one's life journey. Spiritual growth is only possible through painful increments of honest self-examination in partnership with the Holy Spirit - in which childish emotions are incrementally put to death - as genuine Love takes over. Love is the "most excellent way" (1 Corinthians 12:31). All other human advancement must rely upon intellectualism- which poses the danger of spiritual control of the negative sort -and the danger of "missing the cut" for Heaven.

He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of South Carolina in English and a Master of Divinity degree from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary in 1980. He and his wife of 55 years reside in South Carolina and have two children and three grandchildren. J.C.'s favorite hobby is aviation and is a licensed private pilot. |
