About the Book
Emotional intelligence (EI) is not a cure all. However, if we fully utilize our emotional intelligence, we could make great strides in our relationship with others; improve performance on a personal and professional level; manage disagreements whereby both parties feel good about the outcome. The struggle with diversity and inclusion could easily be a thing of the past.

This book does not claim to provide all the answers. Actually, my hope is that it generates thought and reflection. A look inward where we begin to ask questions such as: “How do others see me? “Do my emotions impact others in a positive or negative way?” “Do I take other’s feelings into consideration?” “When was the last time I made someone smile?” “Am I a good team player?”

While not a cure all, it shouldn’t hold us back. We don’t have to be held hostage by our EI. Fortunately for us, emotional intelligence can be taught and developed. There is much literature and many assessments available to help you determine your current EI and identify where you may need to do some work. Take the step, as a result, you’ll lead a fuller and richer life. Your emotional intelligence will no longer be holding you back.
