About the Book
The Summer of the Citroen is the first of two planned novels following the actions of the protagonist, Dexter Morris, over two decades.

When Jean Russo and his beautiful wife, Mina, drive into Brent County, Alabama in a "funny lookin' French car," they set into motion a chain of events that forever change Dex and his family.

The Summer of the Citroen is a straightforward, accessible narrative filled with characters who bring a humor and authenticity that is sometimes just too strange not to be true, including Cousin Naomi who has "nervous spells" and preaches stark naked in an empty church; Cora Brown, the eighteen year old widow who gives Dex two gifts on his thirteenth birthday; and Ed Mueller, the ham-fisted County Sheriff, who maintains the law with a Buick Roadmaster and a .45 Colt.
