About the Book
A different kind of love story

No longer little kids, but not quite teenagers, our two main characters have just embarked on their “tweener years.” A curly headed freckle face Texas boy has just met a beautiful brown eyed Italian girl and after spending their first day together feeding the ducks at Quacker Park, they have fallen head-over-heels in love.

What makes this story unique is a boy-girl connection that is far more than “puppy love,” for their meeting was written in the stars, then heaven sent. Picture two young kids who are fast becoming young adults in a world turned upside down by WWII, caught in a place in time that allows them to freely experience those extraordinary emotions when someone falls in love... at any age.

Their story is filled with numerous adventures, an occasional heartbreak, a few tears, but mostly tales of laughter and sunshine. It’s the kind of book that you’ll love to read on a cold snowy night or a dark rainy day, for it will brighten your mood and put a smile on your face... I promise.

About the Author
William O. Wing Vincent Van Gogh, sitting spellbound before a painting by Rembrandt in Amsterdam’s Rijksmuseum, two centuries after it was painted, was impelled to say: “One must have died several times to paint like that.”

Can it be better said as to his greatness, I think not? Though I dare not claim two lifetimes, I can say with a fair amount of certainty that I’ve lived many years of one. Alas, I’ve no composition credits to exhibit, however my life has been filled with rich memories from the period which I write, coupled with a mercurial imagination has helped me construct a fanciful romantic comedy that I believe will entertain and enchant a large following of dedicated readers.

When Mark Twain began his writing career he drew upon those basic everyday events that helped shape his early life and I have done the same, for often it’s the simplest of things that make the best and most interesting story. Humor comes in many different shapes and sizes but perhaps the best is the unfettered laughter of a young boy or girl, for it’s never artificial or contrived and when a kid falls to the ground laughing till the tears run, you know whatever caused this phenomenon was truly funny. That’s precisely my story. Real though fictional, simple though often complicated, and thankfully it’s totally unpredictable because kids are living this tale and as we all know … no one can predict what a kid might do next.

That’s my biography … life itself.
