About the Book
Chief Master Sergeant T. Wayne Babb, USAF, Ret. is the seasoned author of five military related books. All are autobiographical except for a historically accurate American Civil War novel. Like four of the first five books, War Stories is set in the world of military intelligence and, between its covers, the reader will visit Northern Japan, West Texas, Southern Italy, the island of Crete in Greece, and the darkest wilds of Alabama. You'll experience the joys and drawbacks of living in a foreign country, learn the intricate mechanics of how the Office of the Inspector General works, go inside operations at intelligence units, witnessing high tension reporting situations, and share everyday life with a typical military family. War Stories is chockfull of heroes and villains, good guys and tyrants, and a plethora of eccentric characters who populated the intelligence community.

If you are an old "gray beard" who was in any branch of the military in the 1960's through the 1990's, War Stories is a must read for you. This is a good read for those who were, or are, in the military and can relate to this story on a personal basis. But even folks with no military experience will be amazed at the military culture and how it functions. Lastly, if you are an intelligence buff, this book is a gold mine. Recent declassification initiatives enable the author to relate events that were highly classified just a few short years ago.
