Seth Burgess is a poster child for extreme cases of arrested development. His designer clothes and increasingly successful lifestyle are just symbols of the façade that hides the truth; the stains of his past are not as far behind him or as carefully and thoroughly buried as he thought. Living the lifestyle of a Howard University alumni, Seth’s life comes to a sudden and screeching halt as he pulls away from a five-star restaurant in DC. The realization that he was moments away from becoming “the other man” lays him out flat and opens his eyes to just how chaotic and out of control his life has truly spun.

After his unraveling, Seth inexplicably finds himself at a bar near Dupont Circle, conversing with the owner of a new local art gallery, Ruben. At a young age, Seth had made a hobby of taking photographs. Seth’s enthusiasm and passion for preserving the past seemingly intrigues Ruben. Through the course of the conversation, Ruben extends Seth and invitation to use his work as the opening display for the art gallery.

On the eve of the gallery’s opening, Seth is invited to walk through the completed set-up. With each new room, he finds the pictures to be more alive to him than ever before. They seem to jump out at him as haunting ghosts he thought he’d long outrun. Memories he’d tried so hard to suppress and bury are resurrected and demand resolution. Whether he’s ready for it or not…
