Jenny Smart is an audacious Cessna pilot hiding in the DEA Witness Security Program after testifying against a Miami drug lord. She has enough cash in a safe deposit box to buy it, but it’s drug money that she stole the day the DEA came down on the Miami drug lord, so she must wait to spend it.
Her former lover has escaped from prison and wants his revenge for her betrayal—and his money back. When he learns that Jenny is in Florida, his gang chases her up the East Coast to the Adirondacks. There, in a remote cabin, she meets and joins forces with Dan Warden, a former Tennessee deputy sheriff. Dan soon finds the woman’s combination of lies and truths about her past to be a fascinating enigma that jeopardizes both their lives.
