By his second birthday, he had already undergone six surgeries, including a multi-organ transplant. Throughout it all, this amazing young boy battled back against incredible odds and, in the process, won the hearts of everyone who knew him.This is a story of two journeys. One is of Zachary's dire need for a liver and bowel transplant while the other is of how his parents left their comfortable lives in Maryland behind and relocated to Pittsburgh to be with their twin sons. It is a story of unconditional love, hope, and the day-to-day insights that his parents experienced during the process. The journey was lined with stress, fear, and surprisingly an abundance of humor. It tells of how a family dealt with insurance issues, relocation problems, and hospital cafeteria food, all while keeping a family and a marriage together.
