About the Book
Against the Evil Day concludes the End Times War trilogy. The protagonist in the novel, Chris Burrelle, loses his wife of 10 years to a mysterious illness. He is devastated by the loss and gives up his position as pastor in a church. After some weeks of wandering, he takes a job in construction. This gives him direction, and after some months working in construction, he meets a young woman who went to high school with him. Chris becomes romantically interested in her, but she is murdered shortly after Chris leaves her apartment, and he is the prime suspect. Just ahead of the police, Chris leaves the U. S. to begin a mission to a small seminary in Moldova. World events begin to show some of the events predicted in Matthew 24 and Revelation 6. Chris is unable to avert the interest of his nemesis, the evil David Afton who, is the prophet of the Anti-Christ. Chris realizes that he must deal with Afton mano-a-mano, and he returns from Moldova to Germany where he gets into Afton's residence in the Chiem See. In order to overcome Afton, Chris exorcises the demon spirits from him, and then, in a clash reminiscent of the middle ages, Chris kills him with a two handed sword. In his attempt to escape from Afton's minions trying to avenge their former master's death, Chris makes his way North. He charters a small plane to fly him north to Sweden where he hopes to hide in the extreme north. The float plane loses power and crashes on a log, and Chris is swept out to sea.
