Grace Watts is twenty-nine years old and growing bored with her six-year marriage to David Watts, a successful but pompous and shallow real estate agent. Only a fear of being alone keeps her relationship with him intact. She crosses paths with Anthony Parris, a promiscuous artist who keeps his bills paid doing home remodeling.
