It was supposed to be a routine training mission in the Utah wilderness but then Frank Tarkington and his trainees disappear from the face of the Earth only to reappear a few hours later. They are guinea pigs in an experiment, by an alien race, who modify the DNA of Frank and his team and send them back to Earth to destroy all humans. Now, humans, including Frank's father, General Henry Tarkington, are trying to kill Frank and his team.
Through a monumental miscalculation on the part of the alien abductors, not only is the Nephilus memory encoded into the new mutant race, called the Kobusai, but other races' memories as well.
Now, Frank and his team of mutant soldiers will only be able to survive if they can learn the aliens’ secret, encoded somewhere deep within their DNA and understand what makes a human being uniquely human, and can accomplish it all before the best assassins in the world can kill them. Oddly enough, the Kobusai now know that they have to save the same world that is trying to kill them if they too are to survive.
