Side Salad is collection of poems from the last four years of my life. Life is the main course and everyone likes a side dish to make it easier. This is my side salad. It is set against pictures of my home town where I have grown up and become a part of.

About the Book
|
Side
Salad, a side dish on life, dark, happy, sensitive moody,
funny, it is probably none of these but in the least makes a brave
attempt to!
I'm not sure if I'm trying to reach out to people or I'm hoping they'll
reach out to me. Well, who knows...
I hope you relate and find something in this. I decided to use pictures
to set the poetry against because I feel this makes the whole experience
more interesting. But the photos are also of where I have lived all
my life. As the poetry is about my life, they are the perfect companions.
People often restore old photos to give them a modern look. I decided
to reverse the idea, actually aging modern pictures I took.

| About the Author |
 |
James began writing writing at sixteen, with no real intention or ideas on writing or writing poetry. Even now, for James, poetry seems like a term applied rather then a term gained. All he does is scribble down his feelings. Well...perhaps that is poetry. Now at 24 he has bundles of writing pads full of these scribbles and he felt it was time to do something with them. So James has compiled them into three volumes and this is the first. For James writing has always been additional to life, something to make life easier to swallow. James is also completing his first novel at the moment and, although difficult, hopes to have that available sometime this year. |
