Looking Back is history as seen through the eyes of those who lived it. History is anything but boring, as Kay and 19 contributors prove here. The times were sometimes shocking - as when assassinations, riots, and an unpopular war fueled civil unrest. And some moments were truly amazing - like when an American astronaut stepped onto the moon. Segregation ended in the South and polio was effectively eradicated during the amazing decades that the book covers. Society changed in monumental ways! We were there and we witnessed it all as it happened - sometimes on television and sometimes as we participated in the moments that made history. This is Kay's third book in addition to numerous articles that have appeared in national magzines and newspapers. She shared history with the boomers, witnessing the drama of the times, and was a student at Little Rock Central High during the integration crisis there in September, 1957. |
