About the Book
As the world hurtles toward the end of the church age foretold in Matthew 24, the war in the spiritual realms will become hotter. The Devil and his followers, frantic to avert what appears to be their final doom, will fight ferociously on every front. As their cause becomes more and more hopeless, their efforts will be channeled into more and more desperate tactics designed to delay what seems inevitable. The End Times War is a literary investigation of these desperate tactics and their effect on the lives of men and women whose daily walk is tangled by forces they can neither see nor understand. The End Times War recounts the effects of these forces on the life of one ordinary young man. Though the account is fictional, the episodes in this story will be played out repeatedly in the lives of real people as we approach the end times prophesied in the Bible.

BOOK ONE: Gathering Shadows
In the first book of End Times War, we meet our protagonist, Chris Burrelle as a young, thoroughly secular college student at Pine Ridge State University. He becomes romantically involved with an older woman, Kay Afton, who is his marketing instructor. Her estranged husband, David Afton, who is involved in a satanic cult, kills her in a way that leaves Chris as the only suspect. Chris is arrested. Finding himself in jail, Chris has a conversion experience and meets the risen Christ. He is allowed out of jail on bail and hopes to clear himself. Chris finds the only way to do this is to get to a satanic festival, Burning Man, where David Afton is presiding. There he hopes to get back Kay’s diary that explains her relationship with Chris, the threats David had been constantly making to her, and points to David as her murderer . . . Chris’s spiritual and physical journey make up the balance of the story.
The plot is augmented by a parallel story taking place in the supernatural among the demons who are involved with the characters in the story. The two stories weave in and out of each other like a Bach fugue until at the end they . . . well, you’ll just have to read it to see how they fit together in the end.
