About the Book
|
Tommy Typical finds out that death is not the ending at all, but a gateway to life. After showing up at the Pearly Gates, which is actually a trout stream that features an old nemesis turned heavenly guide, St. Peter sends him off on a holiday with his literary hero, Ernest Hemingway. Papa gives Tommy the nickname, Hickey, while having a few drinks at Sloppy Joe’s Bar in Key West. The next morning Papa cooks up a fishing trip to Cuba, followed by a plane ride to Paris, then a train ride to Spain, and a safari of spiritual sorts in Africa, with several other stops along the way. Tommy rediscovers his own interesting life in the new friendship and his soulful poetry before he continues on his way.
This is the third and final installment of the Tommy Typical Series. The Philosophy of Tommy Typical and The Travelogue of Tommy Typical acquaint you with a straightforward guy who sees the sacredness in every day. Anecdotes and verse and simple images create the inspiration for experiencing a “typical” journey to endless worlds of self-discovery in God’s creation.
