The Korean Academy
of Taekwondo (KAT) is one of Colorado's oldest and most succesful
martial arts schools. This official handbook is being issued on
the school's 25th anniversary. The handbook will serve as a comprehensive
technical reference for KAT students at the main headquarters and
for students in the sattelite programs.
This handbook contains many unique sections on such diverse topics
as the underlying biophysics behind martial arts technique, the
mechanics of board breaking, pain theory and managment, running
a succesful collegiate program, and Taekwondo history and culture.
This breadth of new material guarantees that every martial artist
will find something interesting.
Readers will find contributions from many masters and advanced black
belts who are succesful competitors and teachers. The book was compiled
by Master Bill Pottle, with help and suggestions from Master Ghassan
Timani.
