About the Book
|
When a family of women have finally escaped domestic violence, they find that their journey has only just begun. Follow along as the mother and her five daughters grow from victims to victors, through their tribulations and their triumphs.
Jaynee never expects to be a single mom. She plans to be the perfect Mormon wife and mother, but when children’s protective services tells her she must leave with her children or they will be taken from her, she finds herself raising five daughters by herself. Told through the eyes of several of the daughters, as well as Jaynee herself, the Pink House is the collection of stories, memories, and events that paint a picture of a family recovering from abuse and finding their own strength and independence.
The Pink House is a raw and unvarnished peek inside the lives of a family who discover together the power of graciousness and love to overcome difficulty, become strong, and heal their hearts and souls. It is the tender, heart-rending, and ultimately triumphant story of an imperfect family making the best of things. You will laugh and cry and fall in love with these girls, and their story will keep you turning the pages till the very end.
In storybook lore, the princess is passive. She is acted-upon. But the cowgirl is strong, independent, sure of herself. She takes action. Through the circumstances handed to them, the women of The Pink House laugh, cry, make mistakes, learn… and ultimately grow into cowgirls.

About the Author |
|
Author Jaynee Beach could be called a Renaissance woman: she has panned for gold, jumped out of a perfectly good airplane, traveled the world, helped design the cockpit of an attack helicopter, rescued baby sea turtles, flown a Japanese war plane, and patented an invention. However, no matter what else she does, her greatest accomplishment will always be raising five girls into amazing, capable women who are all accomplished in their own right.
Jaynee knows that her calling in life is to promote the betterment of women’s lives. Her fierce passion is displayed in her ongoing support for such organizations as Thistle Farms, Dress For Success, SIM-Women, and Pioneers in Skirts. Watch for her next book: “W.O.W.! (Wonderful, Ordinary Women)”, a compilation of the success stories of other women who have triumphed over adverse circumstances. |
