About the Book

Here
is a sample topic, from Guitar Pro Manual, Chapter 3,
"Fingerboard Awareness":
Suppose we take three or more notes and strum them all at once. What
do you think we have just created? Music? Right! That is exactly how
a chord is formed as well. What if we play the notes that form a chord
one after the other? Good job! "Arpeggios" is the right answer.
Three types of chords exist. Open chords, without any doubt, lead
the pack. In the following pages, you will be given a roster of the
most common types of chords. In case you wonder what major and minor
mean, keep in mind that a major sound refers to a happy sound (e.g.
Old Mc Donald Had A Farm), whereas a minor sound refers to a sad,
dark, depressing musical mood (e.g. Yesterday).
Chords are great workouts for your fingers. Practicing chords on a
day-to-day basis will develop and improve your finger dexterity ("chops"
as it is often called in the industry jargon.)
